I set up the LeGrys Community Heart Foundation primarily as a way of giving back to the communities in which we operate our businesses. Community and support within the community is of paramount importance to both me and the Team at LeGrys.

We have been very well supported over the years and this had led to us being awarded Best Agency in Tunbridge Wells and in fact for the South East for the past three years and setting up the LeGrys Foundation is just a small way of saying thank you and giving back!

“The first of our campaigns, the Defib roll-out scheme will see defibrillators placed in the offices of LeGrys Estate Agents. The first will be in our Head Office, LeGrys House in Southborough, Tunbridge Wells”.

Furthermore, we intend to run in-house training sessions on delivering CPR.   You don’t have to search far amongst your friends and families list to find someone that has benefited from CPR and I strongly believe that every town should have several defibs readily available.

My vision is to challenge all agencies to donate just £100 from each of their commission payments to go towards funding a machine outside their offices.  Imagine if, in time, every High Street Agent had a defib – so local communities knew exactly where to head in an emergency!

I am delighted that my cousin, David LeGrys, Olympic and Commonwealth cyclist and record holder has leant his hand to this great cause in promoting the initiative.  David has had first-hand experience of needing help himself on matters of the heart!

We have a myriad of good local causes that I hope will benefit from the LeGrys Foundation.

In recent years government funding has seen the welcome introduction of thousands of defibrillators across rural and urban areas in the UK, but more are needed. The LeGrys Community Heart Foundation has been set up to raise funds to install further public access defibrillators along our high streets.

The LeGrys Community Heart Foundation will be funding and installing a public access defibrilator outside our central Southborough branch, LeGrys House.

We’ll also be donating £100 from every sales commission to fund further defibrillators and in-branch community CPR training. What’s more, we’d love to work together with our fellow estate agents to bring the initiative to a wider area and see more public access defibrillators installed along our local high streets.
